What we collect
Any lead-acid battery that has come out of a vehicle or piece of equipment:
- 12V car and van batteries, including AGM and EFB start-stop types
- 24V truck, bus, coach and plant batteries
- Motorcycle, quad and jet-ski batteries
- Leisure and marine batteries from caravans, motorhomes and boats
- Golf buggy, mobility scooter and forklift traction batteries
- UPS and standby batteries from server rooms and alarm systems
Cracked, leaking or swollen batteries are fine – tell us so the carrier brings the right containment.
How a collection works
Send us the type and rough number of batteries, your postcode and how they’re stored. We’ll confirm a price (or a rebate if the volume justifies it) and a collection date. On the day the driver checks the load, you both sign the consignment note, and the batteries are taken to a permitted facility where they are broken down and the lead, polypropylene and acid are recovered.
Storing batteries before collection
Keep them upright, under cover, on an impermeable surface and ideally in a battery box or on a pallet with a bund tray. Don’t stack them more than two high unless they’re on a proper pallet with layer boards, and keep terminals from touching each other. For more than a handful, we can supply a battery box or pallet bin in advance.
