A simple swap service
We drop a battery box or pallet bin at your workshop. You fill it as batteries come out of customers’ vehicles. When it’s full – or on a schedule that suits you – a licensed carrier swaps it for an empty one, signs the consignment note with you and takes the full one away for recycling. No stacking batteries in a corner, no waiting for a scrap man who may or may not be licensed, and your hazardous waste storage is compliant by default.
Who it’s for
- Independent garages and MOT centres
- Franchised dealerships and dealer groups
- Fast-fit, tyre and exhaust centres
- Fleet, bus, coach and HGV workshops
- Motor factors operating take-back schemes
- Mobile mechanics and breakdown operators with a depot
Rebates and pricing
Lead-acid batteries have a scrap value that moves with the lead price. For workshops producing a pallet or more between collections we pay a rebate per tonne. For smaller volumes we charge a fixed collection fee that still works out cheaper than a one-off uplift. Either way you get a written price up front and an invoice or self-billing statement after every collection.
Your duty of care
As a producer of hazardous waste, a garage must store batteries safely, use a registered carrier, describe the waste correctly and keep consignment notes for three years. We take care of the paperwork and provide an annual summary of what was collected – useful for environmental audits, ISO 14001 and franchise compliance checks.
